ASG Grading Stamps On-Site in Hong Kong in October

Authenticated Stamp Guaranty® (ASG®) will conduct on-site grading of stamps at the office of NGC Hong Kong Ltd. (NGC Hong Kong) from October 9-14, 2023. This is ASG’s first on-site grading event in Hong Kong, during which ASG’s full expert and impartial authentication, grading and encapsulation services will be offered on location with an extremely fast turnaround time.

Submissions must be received by NGC Hong Kong by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Submissions can be made in person (by appointment only) or by mail to ASG’s Hong Kong office or at NGC Hong Kong’s booth (E5-E7) at the Hong Kong Coin Show (HKCS) on October 9-11, 2023. NGC Hong Kong will endeavor to have all stamps submitted for this event completed and ready for pick-up or return shipment starting Friday, October 20, 2023.

The Hong Kong Coin Show is a prestigious numismatic event held twice a year at The Mira Hong Kong Hotel. Occurring in March/April and September/October, this highly anticipated gathering is organized by four prominent partners: Stack's Bowers, Spink, Coin-In-Coin, and Shouxi.com. The primary objective of the Hong Kong Coin Show is to establish Hong Kong as a world-class hub for numismatic auctions and coin shows. To accomplish this mission, the HKCS offers a range of engaging activities, including educational seminars, exhibitions and complimentary appraisals conducted by experts.

Preparing your Submission

The ASG Hong Kong, China On-site Grading Event will be held at the office of NGC Hong Kong, ASG’s affiliate in Hong Kong, China.

The following stamps will be accepted at this event:

• all vintage and modern stamps from Mainland China
• all stamps from Hong Kong and Macau issued from 1970 to present
• all stamps from the rest of Asia issued from 2000 to present

Stamps must fit into the regular ASG holder or the ASG Oversize Holder. Sheets, postcards and covers will NOT be accepted. For a list of ASG holder sizes, click here.

Submissions will be accepted from paid Collector members and Authorized Dealers with ASG, NGC or PMG. Submissions must be made using the ASG Hong Kong Submission Form, which will be available from the NGC Hong Kong office beginning in early July.

Fees for on-site grading

For faster processing, collectors and dealers must pay at the time of submission. If payment is not made at the time of submission, stamps can be returned at the time of completion IF the customer provides proof that they have paid.
